KARIM BENZEMA (EL GATO)

Karim Benzema (Lyon, Rhône, France, December 19, 1987) is a footballer of Algerian descent francésde-Kabylie. Plays as a striker and current Real Madrid team is the Division of laPrimera Spain.

Benzema began his career in the ranks of Olympique Lyonnais and first-team debut in 2004. In his five seasons with French club he played 112 league appearances and scored 43 goals. In 2007/08 season, Benzema became the top scorer in Ligue 1 with 20 goals, earning him to get also the Player of the Year award from the French league. After finishing that season, the French-Algerian football played at Euro 2008 with France.

On July 1, 2009 was made official by the signing of Real Madrid footballer, who paid alOlympique Lyonnais 35 million, plus the ability to pay the club of origin to six million additional incentives.
